“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Monday; December 10, 2007
Isn’t it interesting that something our forefathers did for
survival is something we do for recreation and relaxation.
Running has become a big-time industry in today’s society; but,
honestly running isn’t just a sport, for some it is a
lifestyle.
It
seems that we are all running – constantly on the move – but,
the most important question is, “Are we running towards
something or away from something?”. In today’s world our lives
are in constant flux. We move from one stage in life to
another, we go from one job to another, we transition from one
relationship to another. While change has become a constant in
life, the big issue is are we moving toward a goal or just
trying to get away from something causing us trouble.
When we find ourselves thinking about making a move , let’s ask
ourselves if we are consciously plotting our course to find
something better or merely trying to escape something
uncomfortable. Remember, without a goal in mind, running might
get us somewhere; but, will it really be where we want to end
up?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ; this
