“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Friday; November 23, 2007
There are great philosophers – then there is Yogi Berra.
Decades ago, when asked what made a good manager, Yogi noted, “
A good ball club.”. In his own way, Yogi acknowledged that
people who were successful in baseball management were those who
won and those who won, traditionally had good teams.
If
we were to search out the answer to the question, “What makes a
good person?” it wouldn’t surprise me if the answer didn’t come
back, “The good values of the Good Book.”. There can be a lot
of keys that go into making good people; but, when it’s all
reduced down to it’s simplest form, goodness is found in doing
the good things of the perfect law.
This weekend, will we be practicing to be a good person by
taking the time to seek out good people studying the Good Book?
Our Good God has given us the privilege to worship Him with
other believers … will we do the good thing?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ; this
is Charlie Wharton.
