“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Wednesday; April 23, 2008
If you have ever watched an takeoff of an awards show, one
common spoof is of the big star saying, “I’d like to thank
all the ‘little people’ who made my popularity possible.”.
While this is often done tongue-in-cheek, there is a reality
in what they are saying. Without the make-up artist, boom
guy, cameraman and gaffer (whatever that is), there would be
no stars.
Today is something similar in the work-world. Today is
Administrative Professionals Day. Today is the day we honor
all those people who do so much; but, get so little credit.
These are the “little people” who have the power to
make-or-break a business. These are those “common folks”
who have the ability to make us look good or look bad. Come
to think of it, they are neither “little” nor “common”.
For all of you administrative professionals – thanks for all
you do. You deserve more than we could ever repay, so for
today, accept our thanks and appreciation for all you do
every day!
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
this is Charlie Wharton.
