“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

While
most of us would like to admit to a logical approach to life
and proclaim that we believe that truth is truth; the
reality of it is that, for most of us, some truth means more
to us than others. The essence of this observation isn’t in
the accuracy of the message, it’s in our perspective of the
messenger. The more we like the individual bringing the
message, the more likely we are to accept it.
While it is human nature to assess truth based upon
personality, the truly astute person is willing accept truth
from any medium. If we are really hoping to be the best we
can be, we will approach those who approach us with an open
mind, willing to listen and learn.
Is there someone trying to convince us of a reality we need
to adopt in our lives? If so, are we accepting the message
no matter what we think of the messenger? Remember, we’ll
be judged by truth, no matter how it’s presented to us.
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
this is Charlie Wharton.
