“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

I
have been a Texas Rangers fan for the past 30 years. In
fact, I am such a fan (and my wife is such a good sport)
that on our first wedding anniversary we were sitting in
Arlington Stadium. I have fond memories the old stadium, a
AAA ball park that was revamped to accommodate a major
league team. The old ballyard had metal seats what warmed
up nicely in the 100 degree heat and grass that seemed to
melt away during the latter part of the season. Frankly, it
wasn’t much compared to the state of the art new “Rangers
Ballpark in Arlington”, but it was what we knew.
When we consider our lives here on earth, it hard to think
about anything any better. Intellectually, we know that the
eternal life that exists on the other side of death is much
better than this one; but, we struggle with living in the
future because we only know the here and now. This world
will do for now; but, let’s not forget that what awaits us
is a state of the art life that represents the perfection of
God.
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
this is Charlie Wharton.
