“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Every-once-in-a-while
we’ll get busy around the house or we’ll find ourselves in a
situation where we start to be enveloped by clutter. It
starts off innocent enough, the dresser will collect
knick-knacks … then the tables will fill up … then before
long, it’s like walking through a maze. Interestingly
enough, clutter multiplies. The more we allow, the more we
ignore and soon, we become overwhelmed.
There is a parallel in our lives. There are times when we
start to let the little things pile up in us. We begin to
be bothered by something and we forget about it. Then, we
start working on bettering our lives and we fail, so we let
it go. Like a cluttered house, in a cluttered life, the
more we let things go, the more they pile up on us.
Are we feeling “yucky” about our lives; but, don’t really
have a major issue? Are we constantly irritated; but, don’t
seem to have a valid reason? Maybe it’s not what we are
doing that’s causing a problem; maybe, it’s the accumulation
of things we leave undone.
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
this is Charlie Wharton.
