“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
If we were asked to define worship, what would come to
mind? I was recently reminded that worship is an act of
reverence and submission. Simply put, worship is making a
declaration that we accept our role of obedience and
service.
Typically when we think about worship, we think of it within
the context of worshipping God at a certain time in a
certain place. While this is a part of what we do,
acceptable worship begins before a scheduled service. To
really worship God, we have to have the humility to place
Him first in our lives and make it a priority to be at that
time and in that place that has been set aside to praise His
name.
What will we be doing this weekend? If we don’t take some
time to honor God in His way, are we really people who
worship God? Let’s not wait until the last moment to make
plans to attend a service dedicated to God, let’s make
concrete plans today and get an early start on our worship
to Him.
Think about it!
