“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

          In his recent hit, country singer Brad Paisley ponders what it would be like if he could write a letter back to himself.   In the verses of the song, he reflects upon the lessons he would have liked to have known at 17.

          Now, we know we can’t do this; but, we do have something that might be even better.  In the Bible, we have a letter written to us by our God.  We have special instructions about how we can make the most out of life authored by One who not only can look back at our lives; but, who can look ahead into the future.   The Bibles says this about itself, “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;  that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”  (II Timothy 3:16-17)

          What would be better than a letter written to ourselves through 20:20 hindsight?  How about the Bible written by the all-seeing and all-knowing God!
