“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
While I have spent the last dozen years of my life involved
in Law Enforcement in one way or another; I can still recall
the first time that I got be a part of a search warrant. On
that day, I was just an observer; but, I the thing that I
recall the most was looking around and being surrounded by a
team of guys who were not only highly trained; but, were
also very large. Personally, I am not very big; but, I
didn’t have a second of apprehension because I believed in
their talent and trusted their strength.
When we face issues in life, are we confident or afraid?
Often, the response to this question might be summed up by
asking, “Where is God in my life?” If we don’t feel His
closeness, fear can be a very real thing; but, if He is with
us, we can echo the spirit of an old Hebrew king who
observed, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall
I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall I
dread?” (Psalm 27:1)
If we aren’t feeling as close to God as we should; this
weekend, let’s take the time to meet Him where we can feel
His greatest presence – in a service dedicated to His
worship.
Think about it!
