“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

           In 1859 Love M. Willis penned what has become a famous and favorite hymn entitled, “Father Hear The Prayer We Offer”.   As a part of the song, the writer noted, that God was so majestic that He could “… smite the living fountains from the rocks along our way.”.  In a possible reference to Moses’ miraculous ability to refresh the people of Israel from a rock in the desert; Mrs. Willis brought to light God’s ability to use something as simple as a rock to bring about a wonderful blessing.  In essence, in the hand of God, nothing is ordianry.

          What is God using in our lives to produce a blessing?  Is He teaching us wonderful lessons through a simple song?  Is He showing us how to love through the introduction of a small child?  Is He teaching us the value of patience through our cubemate at work?

          Are we looking for God’s blessing in our lives?  Sometimes it’s impact might come more in the form of something simple than something spiritual.
