“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
When we gather for worship this weekend, what is the most
important thing we bring with us? There are a lot of good
answers to what should accompany us to a church service –
everything from our children to our Bibles to our offerings,
make sense. Yet, if there is one thing that will impact our
worship more than anything else, it is our attitude. If we
show up in church with a self-serving or even a negative
outlook, we aren’t going to get much out of the gathering;
but, through a proper attitude, our time spent
fellowshipping with others and praising God can reach new
heights. By approaching the throne of God with a desire to
honor Him, a willingness to allow His message to impact our
lives and a gratitude based in humility, we will walk out of
the assembly and back into the world refreshed, rejuvenated
and ready to face whatever lay ahead of us.
As we prepare for this weekend’s services; let’s not forget
to check off our list: our children, our donations, our
Bibles – and most of all a good attitude.
