“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Is
being “good enough”, good enough?
Often when we consider the value of something, we approach
it with a mind toward asking if it is functional. Whether
it’s a knife, a car or our approach to our job, we often
assess success by functionality. Is it good enough to get
by?
While the world often rewards mediocrity, there is something
better out there. Most of us are capable of being
functional; but, are we good? Most of us can get by with
little effort; but, do we have the desire to excel? Whether
it’s in being a parent, living a Christian life, serving
others or producing a work product, being “good enough”
isn’t found in doing the bare minimum; it’s had in being the
best we can be.
Are we trying our best? Are we striving to grow each and
every day? Merely being “good enough” doesn’t just impact
those around us, it also robs “the best we can be” from us.
So, are we really okay with good enough?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
