“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
There
is a lot of talk these days about production; but, there is
something even more important in life – perception. While
we are often measured by what we do, the real value a person
brings to life is how they think ... in other words,
wisdom.
Wisdom is a concept that most of us understand; but, how
well can we explain it? Centuries ago, a wise man
identified the insightful life by observing, “He who gets
wisdom loves his own soul; He who keeps understanding will
find good.” (Proverbs 19:8). In essence, wisdom is learning
everything we can, then figuring out how it applies to
reality. Insight isn’t merely developing massive lists of
facts, it is having the ability to take those facts and
relate them to the situations that arise. Additionally,
wisdom doesn’t come to us by just growing old, understanding
is developed by having a constant desire to learn all we can
from as many different perspectives as is possible.
In essence, by being wise, we might not make more money;
but, we will live better lives!
