“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

         For many of our children, today isn’t too tough because they are either on their summer schedule or can see it from here; but, for most of the rest of us, it’s Monday, again, isn’t it!  There are several reasons that we come to dread Mondays; but, one that many of us face is the fact that we just feel down.  We perceive our everyday lives as “insignificant” and “uninspired”.  We exist … and sometimes that’s about the best we can say about it.

          If we are looking for a spark to get us going, let’s consider a conversation God had with Himself way back at the beginning of time when He said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26)  Wow, how cool is that!  Not only have we been created with elements of God, we have been given the responsibility to be caretakers of the world!  Hmmm … maybe we really are somebodies!
