“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Have you ever gone out and bought some nice, fresh bananas
for a special recipe? Maybe you were going to make Bananas
Foster or a banana pie or even a banana split; but,
something happened, time passed and the bananas did what
bananas naturally do – they turned brown and mushy. At that
point, what happened … did you get upset and grouse about
the wasted opportunity or did you revise your plan and
utilize the overripe bananas for their crowning glory:
making banana bread?
Often times, in our lives, we set out to do something only
to find that because of time or circumstances, things don’t
work out like we anticipated. So, what do we do? Do we sit
around and complain about what we missed out on or do we
refocus, adjust and move on utilizing what we have at hand?
It may not come about in the same time or with the same
chances; but, the results could be just as sweet.
What’s going on in your life? What needs to be done to make
the most of it?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of
Christ; this is Charlie Wharton.
