“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

         In a proverb King Solomon he notes, “The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish tears it down with her own hands.”.  (Proverbs 14:1)  While most of us see the obvious folly in a woman going ballistic, tearing up her own house and ruining the place she lives; how often do we see Solomon’s words come true from an emotional perspective?  Few mothers and wives destroy their houses; but, how many do this very thing in their homes by belittling the children or nagging a spouse?  I don’t know too many people who would dare throw a table through a plate-glass window; but, how many of us think nothing of pitching fit or throwing out insults just to win an argument.

          The houses in which we live are blessings given to us from God; but, they pale in comparison to the gift of the family members we’ve been given by Him.  Let’s make sure we do a good job keeping houses clean; but, more importantly, let’s make it a point to do a good job keeping our homes intact.
