“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Today is Friday, the 13th. Now, let’s be honest;
few of us really believe in the superstition attached to an
unlucky day based upon a date; but, we have to admit it’s
kind of fun to talk about, isn’t it. While there is a
certain sense of eeriness to the day, we know that at the
end of the day whatever happened was guided, not by evil
fate; but, by some greater Force.
Whether we believe in superstitions or not, too often we
forget to acknowledge the true Controller of our world.
There is an All-Powerful God who is working in our lives and
in our world; and while we cannot see Him with the naked
eye, we can know that He is alive and well and active.
Centuries ago, a man after God’s own heart was so aware of
God that God told him to, “Relax and know that I am God; I
will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the
earth.” (Psalm 46:10)
Do we believe in the power of God in our lives? If not,
what are we missing? If so, what are we seeing?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of
Christ; this is Charlie Wharton.
