“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

          Have you ever listened to someone spout off their beliefs and wondered, “How in the world can anyone believe that?”.  Whether it comes from a religious, political, socio-economic or even a lifestyle perspective there are people out there whose beliefs are very different from ours – how could that be?

          The answer to differing concepts comes from our foundations, our core beliefs.  At some point in life; we settle on the heart of our philosophy; then, from there we begin to build our lives.  The interesting thing about this is that there is no inherent starting point.  Some people build their lifestyles based upon love, others on hate.  One person might develop her life around generosity, another on selfishness. 

          While there may not be a common foundation, there is a common ultimate Judge.  Our lives will be lived through our individual fundamental beliefs; but, will be Judged by one God.  How close is our foundation to His … in other words, do we share the foundation He outlined in the Bible?
