“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Which is more important, doing what we love or loving what
we do? These two phrases may sound similar; but, there is
a vast philosophical and practical difference between them.
Doing what we love implies the ability to choose our
circumstances and pursing things that satisfy us. While
doing what we love is fun and can be rewarding, loving what
we do is one of the most practical qualities any of us can
have. Life does not always allow us to choose our
circumstances; nor put us a position to dictate our own
terms; then what? If we have the ability to find
satisfaction in whatever we do by acknowledging our
emotions, then framing them within a context of contentment,
we can be successful no matter what life throws at us.
Let’s enjoy pursuing our favorite things; but, when we can’t
do them, let’s make the most out of whatever we get to do.
It may not be our first choice; but, choosing the right
attitude is the first step in our journey towards
contentment.
