“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
In this message (which masquerades as a public service
announcement), we urge you not to forget that Sunday is
Mother’s Day. If you haven’t bought your cards, flowers or
candy, you still have a couple of days to complete your
purchases and avoid a year of issues.
This weekend, there will be a lot of accolades to our
mothers; however, I would also like to offer a bit of a
reminder to all of us. You see, most women will receive
some type of memento this weekend; but, those who receive
the greatest honor will be those who truly live up to the
role of wife and mother. While Mother’s Day is a fairly
recent holiday, the impact of women in our lives has been
felt since the beginning of time. Thousands of years ago, a
wise man contrasted, “An excellent wife is the crown of her
husband, but she who shames him is as rottenness in his
bones.” (Proverbs 12:4)
Happy Mothers Day! Keep up all the good work you do and
accept our praise for who you are.
