“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
How many of us believe in prayer? I would imagine that most
people in this society would say that they pray; but, there
is another, more important question, how many of us trust in
the power of prayer? Do we see prayer as a ritual or being
relevant? In essence, do we perceive God as a Director in
our lives or a Spectator of our world?
I recently came across a pithy little saying, “Coincidence
is when God chooses to remain anonymous”. Too often, we
view life through the eyes of chance or fate; but, how much
better would it be (for us and those around us) if we
believed that God is alive and active in our world. The
great thing about God is that whether we are ready or not,
He is often willing to work in our world – even if we choose
to remain blind to His influence.
None of us has ever seen God; but, that doesn’t mean that we
can’t see the presence of God. Do we see God’s influence in
our world? Maybe the more pertinent question is, are we
really looking for it?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
