“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

          Being that it is a holiday weekend – and the unofficial breakout weekend of summer – most of us have some special plans.  Some are traditional; others may be just a much needed get away from the mundane.  I know that most of us have plans; but, what if I invited you to do something special would you do it?  Let me make it a little more enticing – what if I were to invite you to meet a celebrity; the most powerful, yet personable presence on the earth.  Would that get your attention?

          Actually, this isn’t just an analogy, it’s a fact.  This weekend I like to invite you to come join the King of the universe, a risen Jesus, in a time of worship, encouragement, praise and fellowship.  Centuries ago, one of Jesus’ closest disciples called upon everyone to develop a relationship with Him writing, “… grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” then reminded his readers of the true nature of One we worship by declaring, “To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity.”  (II Peter 3:18)
