“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

If
you watch the commercials on television, there should be no
reason that any of us snore. According to the ads, all we
need to do is buy a product or two and everyone would sleep
better (or at least those who got our $19.95 for the miracle
cure would).
Now; I don’t know if the quick fixes on TV would stop my
nocturnal noise-making, there are two things I know work for
me: losing weight and monitoring what I eat at night. The
problem is just knowing this doesn’t stop the snoring, I’ve
got to do them.
Knowing what to do and doing them are two very distinct
elements in our lives. It’s not enough to be smart enough
to see our problem (or even wise enough to comprehend the
solution) we have to be strong enough to make the changes.
Without action, all knowledge can do is frustrate us.
Is there something we need to change in our lives? Do we
know what we need to do to change it? Why aren’t we doing
it?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
this is Charlie Wharton.
