“THINKABOUTIT” THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

If
you had to do so, could you change you own engine oil? Back
in the day, most of us had to change our own oil; but, in
today’s era of corporate 30 minute oil changes few of us not
have the right tools, much less the knowledge to accomplish
the task.
The art of consumers changing oil is disappearing because
it’s not something we practice or teach our children to do.
Interestingly, oil changing isn’t the only thing on the path
to extinction, what about Bible Study? How many of us are
actively involved in a desire to learn more about the Word
of God. Not being able to change our oil might cost us a
buck or two; but, not studying the Bible is a lot more
expensive. Centuries ago, God determined the price when He
noted, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you
from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of
your God, I also will forget your children.” (Hosea 4:6).
Is this a price we (and future generations) are willing to
pay?
Think about it! For the Madison Avenue Church of Christ;
